The holiday flat is right on the sea front and close to all the amenities that Walton has to offer. These include:
  • Pier with ten pin bowling, soft play, funfair rides, arcade machines and fishing.
  • Safe sandy beaches that stretch for miles

  • Columbine Centre has indoor bowls, boot and craft sales, tea dances, bingo, Friday night cinema, shows for children and adults
  • The Naze end of Walton and the Backwaters offer walks for the hikers, birds for the twitchers and from the top of the Naze tower an opportunity to survey vast areas of land and sea.

Next door (and walkable) to Walton is Frinton which has a very different feel to it often quoted a 'genteel resort'
Frinton has a Golf Club, Cricket Club, Tennis Club and Cycle Hire for the sportier holiday maker and also more good restaurants.
Frinton has a summer theatre that changes midweek giving people the chance to see two plays during a one week visit.

Further afield is Clacton which has a discount shopping village.
Colchester can be reached by car, bus or on the train - the station is 2 minutes from the flat.
Colchester has a castle, museums, zoo, theatres, rollerworld and a swimming pool with exciting flumes.
Constable country including Dedham Vale is just north of Colchester and accessible by car.
A local coach company offers day trips from Walton to a variety of destinations including Suffolk and Norfolk.
